Victoria College Foundation Awards Spring Faculty and Staff Grants

The Victoria College Foundation (Foundation) recently awarded more than $12,000 in faculty and staff grants to various VC departments. The ten awards ranged in size from $500 to $4,000 and provided funding for conference expenses, classroom equipment, technology and software upgrades. In addition, funding was provided to the Museum of the Coastal Bend and the Leo J. Welder Center.

The Foundation recently expanded its Faculty and Staff Grant awarding. In addition to the spring awarding, there is also a fall process. “A year between awarding can be a long time. If a department has a need, concept or innovative idea, they will be able to receive the necessary funding to initiate it earlier,” noted Amy Mundy, executive director.

“It’s rewarding to see the funding put into action. Our VC employees are continually searching for classroom enhancements or tools to improve effectiveness on our campus,” Mundy added.
